Super Cyanide

Super Cyanide is a gory game based on the idea of being challenging and unforgiving yet possible (Think of it as a game like dark souls). The objective is simply to reach the end without losing all 10 lives that the player is given at the start of the game, there is no way for the player to regain these lives along the way so the player is forced to beat the game in one go using the checkpoints given without losing all the lives. Losing all 10 will result in a restart from the beginning of the game.

Gameplay 

The player can run, swim and wall-jump their way across the level while collecting coins along the way. The game has a skin system in place to allow players to unlock skins (these are purely cosmetic). When you die you will explode in a satisfying explosion of blood and will have to restart from your last checkpoint. As stated before the goal of the game is simply to reach the end of the stage without losing all lives.

Controls

• WASD - Walk
• R - Respawn (Or suicide if still alive)
• ESC - Shop
• N - Punch
• B - Kick
• E - Clear blood
• F - Fullscreen

Note: To wall jump just press the directional key towards the wall and your character will slide along it, simply pressing space will then make the character walljump. Also: Kick and Punch are not 100% implemented yet, there are no enemies (as of now).

About the developer

Hello! My name is Martijn, I am an 18 year old developer. I mainly develop in Java and picked up GML as a first language to start the learning process. I ever only released one other game though, an arcade game called Asteroid Avoid for android devices (It should still be up if you want to check it out). I really love experimenting with different game ideas and appreciate any feedback for this game!
